The abiotic factors that affect this region are water flow, temperature, wind, soil quality, movement along fault lines, and elevation. Water flow is important to this region because if there is little rain fall, water flow allows organisms to get to water. Tectonic plate movement is important because elevation effects rain fall. Temperature effects droughts which can effect the organisms living organisms living in the Mojave desert. The soil quality can effect the growth of trees and plants year to year.
